Notice of Liquidation

On November 15, 2010, the Circuit Court of Cole County, Missouri declared National States insolvent and ordered the company into liquidation.

Important Notice

The Liquidator has determined that National States does not have assets to pay claims with a priority below Class 2. See Mo. Rev. Stat. § 375.1218. Notice letters have been sent to all claimants who submitted claims with a priority below Class 2.

Claims Bar Date is 4:30 p.m. CST, November 15, 2011 (does not apply to policyholders)

Important Information for Policyholders & Providers

Effective January 1, 2017, National States will no longer be responsible for the administration of your policy (this includes all premium, claim and policy administration).

Life Insurance Policies

As of April 1, 2012, Family Life Insurance Company assumed all National States life insurance policies. All claims, premium payments, and inquiries regarding National States life policies should be directed to Family Life.

Medicare Supplement Policies

Prior to November 15, 2010, Oxford Life Insurance Company and North American Life Insurance Company assumed all National States Medicare Supplement Policies. All claims, premium payments, and inquiries regarding National States Medicare Supplement policies should be directed to Oxford Life or North American.
